is president and founder of Vantage Point Marketing, Ltd., a strategic consulting firm dedicated to strengthening the position of its clients in their target markets through better service, strategies and communication.

Manuel Galvan Galvan’s marketing and media expertise has proved beneficial for a wide variety of clients from corporations and governments to agencies and advocacy groups.

In the global arena, Galvan has worked on three continents. He developed Ameritech’s media strategy for Europe and Asia, coordinating its marketing presence campaign. Domestically, he developed Sprint’s successful marketing strategy to reach Hispanics nationwide. Within 18 months, Sprint was heralded as Corporation of the Year by the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

His strategy work has benefited clients as diverse as the White House Commission on Educational Excellence for Hispanic Americans and Whole Foods Market, where he consults on government, business and community relations in the Midwest.

Galvan’s political work has included dozens of successful campaigns. These have been municipal, township, county, state and federal. He has also handled media for the Cook County Democratic Party. Cook is the nation’s second largest county after Los Angeles.

Before launching Vantage Point in 1991, Galvan worked for the Chicago Tribune as a marketing projects manager where he researched the newspaper’s position among key demographics and recommended improvements to boost sales.

He previously held various positions at the Tribune including serving as a member of the editorial board focusing on government, political endorsements and the Hispanic community. Prior to that, he covered Chicago City Hall.

Galvan has spent more than four decades writing about Chicago, politics and the Latino community. He authored the inaugural 16-page section on Hispanic Americans in the World Book Encyclopedia, wrote for the travel book, "Chicago" and the annual, Hispanic Marketing 101 Yearbooks.

He is chairman of the State and Local Government Subcommittee under the Public Affairs Committee of the Union League Club of Chicago.

Galvan is a founding member/ past president of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists in Washington, DC and has served in leadership positions on several non-profit boards for more than two decades.

Dennis
  LaComb
is president of twentythree.five, Inc. With extensive experience in corporate relations, government affairs, marketing communications and association management, LaComb has successfully worked with a variety of public- and private-sector clients, including Ameritech, Sprint, FLAG Telecom, Epilepsy Foundation, Chicago Sister Cities and Girls Scouts of America.

Manuel Galvan Prior to this, LaComb was director of international affairs for Ameritech, a $23 billion telecom company operating worldwide. As a member of the company’s senior international management team, he was responsible for marketing and government affairs and was instrumental in the successful $2.5 billion privatization bid for Belgacom.

Before joining Ameritech, LaComb was program officer and director of corporate development for the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations. In this capacity he was responsible for all corporate programming and development activities, working with more than 100 multinational firms to establish, cultivate and maintain contacts with senior international business and government leaders.

LaComb holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point; and a master’s degree in International Economics and American Foreign Policy from Johns Hopkins University (SAIS).

Myk
  Snider
is a specialist in managing complex, controversial projects to achieve strategic communications goals. He is a process expert on brand/ issues management, focusing on public relations to communicate with diverse groups such as chambers, service organizations and other grass-roots groups.

Manuel Galvan As principal of Sphere Public Relations Group, Snider assisted Taco Bell Corp. by developing a government/ community relations strategy. He also led successful public relations efforts to obtain permits for waste-to-energy facilities, a medical waste transfer site and an industrial chemical transfer facility in Illinois.

Snider directed development of neighborhood relationships for Harris Chicago Community Bank as it expanded its branches. He has managed major campaigns for United HealthCare, the Illinois Road and Transportation Builders and the Chicago Urban League.

He was the founder/ first chairman of the Political Action Committee for the Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce and served as president of the prestigious Chicago Area Public Affairs Group. He is a co-founder of the Civic Coalition and has served on both the Public Affairs and Communications Committees of the Union League Club of Chicago.
